Twister Cheer Company is about to complete an amazing competitive season for 2006-2007. The first competition was in San Antonio last fall, and the teams brought home 1st and 4th place trophies. The next competition, in Fort Worth, garnered two 1st place trophies for the teams. The teams went to Houston for their third competition and came home with a 1st place championship and a 3rd place trophy. In January, TCC went to the State Championships in Houston at the Reliant Arena, and the Senior Co-ed team brought a State Championship home to Bastrop, while the junior squads placed an incredible 3rd in the state. The next competition will be the National Championships in San Antonio on February 2-4, and the teams expect to bring the National title to Bastrop, TX - which has never been done before! Coach Arthur Martinez is extremely proud of the dedication and hard work exhibited by the three teams this year: the Show Team, which has 4 members; the Junior Team of 17; and the Senior Team, with 21 members. The Twister Cheer Company also wants to thank all of the parents, family members, and kids for their support. The season will end after the Nationals in San Antonio, but TCC will be starting all over again with tryouts on March 16th and 17th, to begin building next season's teams.
